Social Media for Scientists Course – Brisbane

Science Media Space provides scientists with the practical knowledge needed to use social media effectively. Our course will give you the tools and knowledge to build peer networks and communicate your research to a broader audience. 10 concise modules and accompanying activities include tips on creating social media profiles, blogging, micro-blogging (eg tweeting), using images to engage your audience, and interacting across various networks. Course materials can be studied from home, the office or the lab over a 2-week period. You can share ideas, discuss methods and work through activities in a small private forum. Our team of professional science communicators from Econnect Communication and Bridge8 will give you daily feedback. The course is currently free. Our next course will start 11 March 2013.
