Rhinos, tigers and koalas are all experiencing worrying declines in population size and range. In their favour, people are prepared to give money to organisations dedicated to saving these animals; but is it enough? And what about the other 16,000 threatened species that struggle to get any attention at all (and that’s just the species we know about)? This issue of Decision Point focuses on the conservation of some our icon species and the many challenges surrounding the choices we make. A big issue indeed.
