Come and be a part of a wonderful opportunity to share new ideas and inspire your fellow Outdoor Education professionals, in a family friendly atmosphere, amongst the beautiful North Queensland rainforest. The conference is located in a beautiful part of Cairns at The Northern Outlook in the Redlynch Valley and has tropical rainforest as its backdrop.

You can even take the chance to travel with family and friends.  Take advantage of some relaxing Pre-conference activities to the reef, local environmental education centres and a host of outdoor pursuit activities, including rafting, sea kayaking and bushwalking.

Keynote presentations from Dr. Ian Boyle, looking at intricacies of the brain plus an inspirational tale of resilience from Paul Hockey’s Everest adventure will motivate & encourage you to “Think Outside.” Chris Hudson will also present to professionals unpacking strategies to understand teenagers.

Concurrent sessions with other educators will explore mindfulness, solos, using art in the outdoors, risk management reviews, site visits to local Outdoor Environmental centres and more…

The relaxed residential nature of the conference makes it unique among conferences. Accommodation is simple with two onsite campsite options available (included in registration fees) or alternatively seek your own accommodation nearby.

Check out all the information in the pages on the website before heading to REGISTRATION where you can select your accommodation, catering and preconference preferences. Registration for Conference 4-6th July includes scheduled airport transfers, onsite camping, conference administration and all catering.
