Cyclones are a fact of life in North Queensland, but it’s important to not become complacent about the possible impacts a cyclone may have on our lives, infrastructure and environment. Dr Greg Connor of the Bureau of Meteorology delivers a timely reminder of how to live with cyclones in this month’s Discover More Talk.

Held at lunchtime on the second Tuesday of each month, the Museum of Tropical Queensland’s Discover More Talk lecture series showcases the work of experts from North Queensland and beyond. With a wide variety of subjects, there’s something to catch everyone’s interest.

When: 12 November, 12pm-1pm.

Where: Level 1 theatre, Museum of Tropical Queensland, Townsville.
