Details: Each month we round up some unconventionally clever people to thrill, amaze, and regale you with their ubundant knowledge of the earthly realm. But don’t stress, this isn’t just a another lecture, speech or sermon where you sit stifly in your chair. There is tea, talk and time for you to get up close and personal as each of our virtuosos also demonstrate their craft.
Speaker Heather Janetzki will discuss the Queensland Museum’s collection preparation techniques, including taxidermy and skeletons; and will bring with her some spine-tingling specimens from the collection… *cough whale bones cough*. Local artist Emma Lindsay will then demonstrate how the specimens can be used by researchers and artists – including a live art class!
